Matt and I finally got a chance to go away last weekend. We went to the Bavarian Inn in West Virgina. It is a beautiful old Inn, located on the Potomac River between Maryland and West Virgina. They also have an amazing restaurant with food that is to die for. We were very excited that we were able to book a room with a fireplace, something we wish our house had.Everything was great, down to all the little details.Sunday morning we woke up to a mini blizzard. Like all good things, the weekend had to come to end. It was an interesting drive home with all the snow and ice, but we made it. Ahh, I love nice weekends away!

Yesterday I have the privilege of photographing Melanie, who is looking to become a model. Melanie is the niece of Claribell and Javier, whose wedding I photographed in October. Melanie was amazing! She did so great. Here are a few of my favorites.

We actually did the session at Claribell and Javier’s house. Their living room was painted an awesome color. I could not help but take advantage.



Despite the cold weather, we were able to get outside for a few minutes. Melanie was hoping for some more snow, but we missed our opportunity. We still got some great shots outside.

As an event photographer I have the opportunity to work with a number of different vendors. Some are good, some are not so good. Everyone once in a while I get the lucky and get to work with AMAZING vendors. One of the great vendors I work with is Graced Moments. Graced Moments is made of up of two women, Denise and Kerri. On Saturday I photographed the wedding ceremony of Mercedes and Michael. It was actually a renewal of vows, as they were officially married a few weeks before in Argentina. Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding.

February … finally January is over! I’m not a big winter fan, even though it has hardly been winter around here. Anyway, February’s portrait special is “Free in February.” All portrait sessions in the month of February are FREE! Book a session in February and you will get a free one hour photo session. Last Saturday I had the pleasure of taking maternity pictures with Randi and Matt. They were both great! And of course Randi looked amazing. They are expecting a boy and actually Randi’s due date is today 2/4. I can’t wait to hear about their baby.

Yes, that’s right I said “What the Duck…” (get it right, lol). I just discovered, or actually I should say re-discovered the “What the Duck” comic strip, it has had me laughing all night. I’ll share more from time to time.

I had the pleasure of meeting Aaron and his parents when he was six months old. Most recently I did Aaron’s one year old pictures. Wow, its still hard to believe how much kids change in that first year. Aaron was so much fun during the session and gave me some great expressions.
